It all started with a hunger to draw closer and go deeper in the presence of the Lord and fellowship with the Holy Spirit through Christ. This desire came to life in 2020. A group of believers started seeking the Lord and having “house church” in a small intimate setting. It went from watching online services to the Holy Spirit charging the group to start worshipping and sharing God’s Word together. The Lord was evident and faithful in the midst of their time together. He demonstrated His love through salvations, baptisms, healings, and sweet encouragement. The house church moved to Estancia Community Building's “Upper Room” to offer space for others to join in fellowship. FireWorks became an official church early in 2022 and started meeting at Fabra Elementary School. As the Lord leads the church into new seasons, the heart remains the same: intimate with Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and close together as a family of believers.
The vision behind the name, FireWorks. “On New Year’s Eve, some of the church family had gathered for fellowship and had been watching the incredible fireworks show outside. When we went into the house to pray in the new year together the Holy Spirit showed me a vision as we were all praying together of the magnificent fireworks going off. Then He spoke to my spirit and said, “If those fireworks went off during the light of day, they would have little to no effect. As the darkness gets darker, my light will shine brighter. Will you be my fireworks?”

We are called to glorify the Father in the earth and to make him known. We lift Jesus high so that all will be drawn to him. We equip believers through the word of God.
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible word of God. It is the final authorityand foundation to what we believe and how we live out our lives. The Bible is the standard and authority in all we say and do. (Matthew 5:18, 17:17, 2Timothy 3:16,17, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:20-21)
We believe in the one true triune God who eternally exists in 3 persons; God the Father,God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. We believe that everything that was created was created by Him and for Him. (Psalms 139:7-10, Isaiah 46:9,10, Psalms 147:5, Psalms 33:6,Revelation 4:8, Psalm 34:8, John 4:7,8, Acts 17:24-28, Ephesian 1:9-14)
We believe God created us in His image and likeness and He desires to have relationship with us through Jesus Christ His Son. Through sin, this relationship was broken and sin’s consequences filled the earth. This is why men experience sickness, death and judgement. (Genesis 1:26,27, Isaiah 43:7, Romans 5:12, Romans8:20,21)
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His sinless life and His sacrifice on thecross for the atonement of our sins. He was crucified on the cross and because of His shed blood, we can obtain forgiveness of our sins, everlasting life andeternal salvation. We believe that after 3 days, His body was resurrected from the dead. He showed Himself to over 500 people here on earth for 40 days andthen ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Jesus exists as fully man and fully God. (Matthew 1:18-25, John 1:1-18, Roman 8:34, ICorinthians 15:1-28, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Galatians 3:10-14, Ephesians 1:7,Philippians 2:6-11, Colossians 1:15-23, Hebrews 7:25, 9:13-15, 10:19. I Peter2:21-25, 1 John 2:1,2)
We believe that our salvation is through grace and faith in Christ alone and there is nothing we can do to earn this gift from God. By accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and repenting of our sins we are saved. (John 1:12,13, 6:37-44, 10:25-30, Acts 16:30,31, Roman 3:21-26,10:9,10)
We believe that The Holy Spirit empowers us and sanctifies us and that is how we are able to live a life that is pleasing in God’s sight. As we allow His word to renew and transform our lives we will be changed into the image of Christ. There should be a continuous walk in God’s grace and we should demonstrate righteousness and purity of heart. The 9 fruit of the Spirit will be demonstrated in our lives as we walk after the Spirit and not after the flesh. Our lifestyle will demonstrate the character and convictions of Jesus Christ and His Word. We will not be conformed to the patterns of this world. (Romans8:1-17,25, 10:8-10, 12:1,2, Galatians 5:16-25. Ephesians 2:8-10, Philippians2:12,13, Titus 3:3-7, 1 John 1:7,9, Jude 24)
We believe that water baptism and the Lord’s Supper will be observed until the time of the Lord’s return. Baptism is a symbolic immersion into water that is a visual demonstration of a person’s union with Christ in the likeness of His death and resurrection. This obedient act would follow an individual’s decision to follow Christ. (Matthew 26:26-29, 28:19, Romans 6:3-11, 1 Corinthians 11:23-34, 1Peter 3:21)
We believe in Jesus’s Great Commission and will follow His command as He spoke to His disciples. “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this; I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18,19, Mark16:15-18, Acts 1:7-9)
We believe that every believer that has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior has the Holy Spirit in them at the moment of their conversion. The Holy Spirit will regenerate, indwell and equip us to live a Godly life. Subsequent to our conversion, the Holy Spirit desires to fill us through the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We stand in agreement with Acts 2:4, “And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.” He will give us a heavenly prayer language, empower us and anoint believers so that we may minister effectively and witness with boldness. We believe that through the power of the Holy Spirit, we will see signs and wonders and flow in the 9 gifts of the Spirit, as described in the New Testament. These gifts are still in full operation in the church today and will help us fulfill our call and mission to walk an empowered life. (Matthew3:11, John 1:12,13, 3:1-15, John 20:22, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:38,39,Roman 8:9, 26,27, 1 Corinthians 4:20, 12:4-13, 2 Corinthians 1:21-22, Galatians3:1-5, Ephesians 1:13,14, 5:18, Hebrews 2:3,4)
We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. It will be a visible return as He comes in the clouds to gather His church who are looking for Him. His church is known as the “Bride of Christ.” We also believe that there are 2 places that have been prepared for souls to spend eternity. Heaven and Hell are both real places. One day there will be a resurrection of every person that has ever lived and they will live forever in either heaven with everlasting life or in hell with everlasting death. (Psalms 22:27,28,Matthew 16:18,19, John 17:20-26, I Corinthians 15:20-28, 50-58, Philippians3:20,21, I Thessalonians 4:13-5:11, 2 Thessalonians 1:3-12, Titus 2:11-14,Revelation 7:9-14, 20:11-15, 21:1-4,9)
We believe that God has clearly defined the sanctity of marriage to be between a man and a woman. The word says that we should abstain from sexual immorality. (Genesis1:27, Genesis 2:24, Mark 10:6, 1 Thessalonians 4:3,4, I Corinthians 6:18,Colossians 3:5, Galatians 5:19-21, Ephesians 5:3, Romans 13:13,14)
We believe that those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ are God’s family referred to as “the church.” Jesus Christ uses those who are in the church to help fulfill His divine purpose which is to redeem back the lost. The Lord gave the church a gift when He established the 5- fold ministry to equip those who are in the church. Ephesians 4:8-13 says, When Jesus ascended on high, He led a host of captives and he gave gifts to men… And He gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God.We intend to teach the Word of God, the Power of God, the Move of God and enlighten people on the end time so they are prepared for the final judgement.
